Burlap Lamps....Oh so Sweet!

We have new lamps that are so darn cute! Our designer Mike Moore (Bebe's husband) has hand made these burlap shades with vintage bases...some of the shades are lined and some have the cutest applique's you've ever seen! Come take a look at these precious lamps before they all get snapped up ...because the price is right as none of them are over $79.99....and they are exclusive to Cydney's Alley.
Also, we had a record month in sales...Saturday it looked like we were going out of business we sold so much furniture! That just means cool new stuff is in the store and there is much more on it's way ....so be sure to look for the new "finds" every week! Thanks for shopping with us! Liz

Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful!

As Promised here is the table we just put in the store today....isn't she beautiful! I love it...it's all chunky and yummy! This lovely lady is only $495.00!

The Story of Two Friends...

There once were two girls who were best friends....though they knew they shouldn't, sometimes they liked to get together and smoke.... herb cigs of course, the ones like Miley Cyrus was smoking...(see cute tins for $6.99). Then one day, the girls looked French instead of Chinese, but that's another story (see black and white picture only $24.99 - 28x20 ready to hang). One day, the friend waited on her girlfriend all day but she never came and now we know why....(see back of BFF tin - "sorry I stole your boyfriend"). So they weren't "best" friends after all! What happened next you can only guess...see vintage jail sign $60.00 (could come in handy). As you can see we cover all your needs as Cydney's Alley! Liz

Open, Open, Open.....

As you can see, Bebe "Junktiqued" our "Open" sign today at Cydney's Alley....she wanted to make sure everyone knew we were open and there was plenty of cute stuff inside and out! She brought in the cutest bit for a horse made into a towel rack, as you see above....and also this adorable painted vanity with mirror for $275.00! Great Price! Scott and I just got home from picking up the a beautiful table from an estate in Cherokee County...I don't have a picture yet, but I'll take one when I get it in the shop tomorrow. Great legs,(the table not the person we bought it from...well, actually his legs were okay too) and a lovely "shabby chic" look...Yum! I will be taking over at the shop tomorrow, hope to see you there! Liz

A Beautiful Day!

Bebe has the doors open and the music on at the store today! She is happily peddling the old and the new we have to offer at Cydney's Alley. It looks like the big glass fronted bookcase has sold, that big beautiful thing that I must admit I coveted for myself, but am happy it is going to a good home....so look for a wonderful new something to be in it's place next week! (shhh, it's a secret for now)  In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful weather, and what better place to do that than Senoia...charming anyway you say it!

Great New Stuff!

It has been a great day in Senoia today....Not only have we had many happy customers shopping and buying with us today, but Scott and I have enjoyed putting the new pieces we found this week-end in the store. Pictured above, are just a few of them....
A great little bench with storage, just right for the end of the stairs or the mud room!
Next up is 35 pieces of "Johnson Brothers" dishes, pattern is "Sheraton" there are 8 small bowls, 5 saucers, 4 salad plates, 7 larger bowls, and 11 plates....all priced at $3.99 each.
And our favorite offering is this beautiful library table and bench from an estate in North Carolina...it is to die for! The detail is magnificent! You must come take a look! We hope to see you soon! Liz

I found this set of china in a great little antique store in North Georgia I dropped my Mother off to get her hair done and came back 45 minutes later with a whole slew of dishes as you can see! These will make it into the shop this week-end....at a fantastic price I might add....

Rain, Fog, and Junktiques!

Even though we've had rain off and on all day here in Senoia, it has not been enough to keep one savvy shopper from snapping up the cool, vintage, marble top table in our "Back of The Alley" room....along with several other odds and ends that have made their way to new homes today. I enjoyed bringing in a new stack of decorating books, and vintage finds today...and you can look forward to Bebe being your cheerful shop girl tomorrow! I will head to the North Georgia Mountains to see my family and hopefully bring back some awesome junktiques! Liz

Just Keep On Keeping On!

If you are a regular shopper in the little town of Senoia, you know that most of us are closed on Monday. I was in my shop this afternoon rearranging, receiving a new black table with four chairs, and getting things back into shape from the week-end. Well, it must have been because today was a holiday because there were folks all over town! Many of them knocking on my door ...which is fine by me even if there is only a small path to walk through when I have the furniture pulled out everywhere...
I stopped to take some photos today of just a few things that are sweet and precious as I moved them around....Bebe has worked her charms with vintage valentine vignettes....I am excited about all the new things we have coming to our little store! January has proven to be a stellar month for us, we've sold so much furniture we are scrambling for more...but don't worry, already  we have some great finds on the way and the new pieces we just put in are fantastic!.... Liz

New Lamps Coming Soon

Bebe Moore is the newest addition to Cydney's Alley. Bebe and her husband Mike have some great ideas for lamps coming to our store in the near future....If you haven't been in to check out our hand crafted lamps with burlap shades, come take look...they look fabulous with their vintage bases!

It's A New Day At Cydney's Alley!

I'm trying something new with my  blog. My friend Hedi Meyer has been taking the pictures and posting for the blog, but for the sake of time and to make the blog more personal, I am attempting to blog for myself. The first order of business is to see if I can figure out the logistics of the blog....so bare with me as I learn. Liz Barnett
