A Brave New Junkin World....

Since we are "notorious Junkers", a friend called to tell us he had inherited some property and invited us to "Junk" our way through it before he bulldozes it to the ground....I must admit, I've never "junked" like this before....you'll see what I mean picture by picture below....

Okay, I'm thinking....I can do this.....
We have our boots on, masks, gloves...it'll be okay...

This is the first thing I saw upon entering....look closely, it's a snake skin...
I ran back out....well, I didn't really run because I would have fallen through the floors that were rotted through...I moved as quickly as possible....

So, after Scott begged, pleaded and professed to protect me I decided to try again...
It didn't get much better....

And so it went, room after room....

However....
Much to our delight and surprise, there was actually some good junk in this old house...
Such as....

McCoy Pottery

And...

Vintage Avon....

And....

Glassware....

And.....

Occupied Japan Ashtrays

And...

Bowl and Pitcher...before....

And After....

Not to mention....

This great old pickle jar....

In addition to.....

This vintage toothbrush holder and soap dish....

Along with....

These cool lights.....

And....

This great old toolbox and gears....

In addition to....

This cute vintage cup and saucers ...that match great with what I already had in the store...
Looks something like this....

And then .....

These lovely hats... that were all wrapped in tissue and in a box nestled in a corner...

And more hats.....

Last but not least from this old place was this fella...."Well hello!" I said to him..."Would you like to go home with me?" and he said "Yes!" I may have been delirious at this point.....

So, that's the bulk of it from the old house....If Scott had his way, HGTV, The History Channel, or somebody would be following us around filming us junkin all the time! And I know what you are thinking...but we washed and sanitized everything from the old house....not my favorite thing to do btw.....

...
Other things in the store....

This vintage egg basket.....

Of course I have books....but now I have this great size book shelve too....

Cydney and Alley studying for finals....or they could be looking at facebook...but they are suppose to be studying for finals....

After going through the old house, I needed a break...so I headed to the mountains to see my Mama!

And of course when I got there the "apple of my eye" Hannah Raine, was waiting for me!

Mom and I made an old fashion egg custard pie....yum!

My Dad asked us why we put pepper on it...but it's nutmeg!

I like this, don't you?

This is a beautiful table...two leaves, eight chairs, burlap seats....OMG!

Painted china cabinet...with yummy scroll work....

You know the drill.....

You've got to......
