Some of the most beautiful things in the world are the most useless:
For instance....Peacocks and Lillies....

Our dog" Brother" passed away....we were so very sad....

I'm calling this my "Walking Dead" art...but really, this thing is super, duper, cool...it's heavy metal with suspended brackets....we love it!

So yes, Senoia is the "safe town" from all the Zombies. Filming for "The Walking Dead" has been a treat to watch and be a part of....but don't forget about The Southern Living Idea House, it is so wonderful...I like this house so much, you really need to see it....
The idea house is open Wed-Sun and tickets are $12.00

We are open on Sunday afternoon now ...just give us a little time to get in from Church and we will mosey on down .......should be around 1:00-1:30
Also, you never know we may be open some evenings as well....like we were Friday evening until 9:30....If you don't live in Senoia, give us call...we may be there!

Okay, please don't email me and tell me I'm a bad person...but yes, this is a pye-ball deer rug slain by non other than my husband, Scott. The arrow hole is even worked into the rug...he's quite a shot. If it makes you feel any better, the meat was donated to someone...not me, I don't eat deer meat.
$99.00

I don't think I got this on my last blog and it's just too cool to leave out. This 1930s neon sign came from a dry goods store in upstate New York....It's pretty great.

These Coach Lantern candle holders would look so sweet on your deck...

And these two lanterns would look great in your back yard, or by your pool, or on your screened porch, or well, you fill in the blank.......

Darling new chandy!

There is nothing quite like a "thinking Angel" is there?

Just random cool stuff....

More random  stuff that's new

This table is a great size...24" square....you need it, yes you do...

Lately Alley seems to be ticked off in every photo I take, you think maybe she wants my camera out of her face? Actually she is happy here, we love the lake...

Did someone say @@@@@@@@@@@@@@?

Vintage pheasants....

Retro fun!

French Country chair....

Just country chair....

Love this coffee table, roses, and lovely details...leather top....great price too...$199,00

Not only does he hunt....he fishes too...don't forget golfing as well....

This is a Costa Rica coffee bag framed in a vintage frame...but that's not all! It's also been padded for a great bulletin board....

These eggs are not real...but you wouldn't know unless you tried to crack them...

My mother use to say she couldn't sleep until all the "chickens were in the hen house
....Well, we've got all the chickens in the Alley....

Burlap shade...of course!

Just precious!

I wish this picture were better because this is so cute...vintage headboard made into towel rack...only $55,00

Zombie Southern Style!

The little town of Senoia is about to be invaded....the filming of "The Walking Dead" is set to start within the next week in the downtown area....in addition to that is "The Southern Living Idea Home" opening the first week of June. Main Street may look like a movie set, but don't be afraid we will all be open for business....Don't forget, if there are movie props in front of our store, we have an entrance for both of our buildings in the back....We'll be sure to put signs up to guide you and you will be "protected from Zombies" in our store!

When all the visitors see our little town they are sure to say....

I'm not sure if "Zombies" wear jewelery, but if they did I'm sure they would like all the new jewels we have at the store.......such as

Or maybe these cool watches....

We also have a new line made by local artist Sue Mayhew...Sue takes antique pieces and makes them into these great necklaces and earrings....

This one was made with a Victorian boot clip....

This one from vintage watch faces....

These are made with old keys.....

This is my sister Lynn and my nephew Tucker...after they finished the Warrior Race in
 Mountain City, Georgia....

Speaking or "Warriors" this David Statue is hanging out at the store...literally...we had to put a little "leaf speedo" on him....

How about this re purposed hat and coat rack? Super cute!

For the Georgia Fans...

For the dog lovers...

I've got fresh lavender...fill up your cotton bag with drawstring for only $4.50 and say "Aha"...

This vintage stool speaks for itself....

I like "quirky" signs....

German table and benches...

It's hard to find good help....

This is a cool ottoman, lovely for your tootsies after a long day...

Alley- Prom- Mad at me for taking so many pictures....

China Cabinet, painted white, with wooden inlay...$495.00

Got Milk?
The earth is round...for sure...

Okay, so this is one of my favorite new things in the store...I love quirky things like this...It's an airline cart made into an island....this thing rolls like a dream and has easy foot pedals to lock it down...I know because I've been rolling it around pretending like I am a Flight Attendant....Oh, and the storage is great with this, it opens on both sides...It's GRRRREAT! $395.00 includes the two bar stools...
This is Munson, ....Munson loves Lake Burton as much as I do....
I feel like this next sign suits him to a tee....

This vintage glider ($250.00) would look great on your dock, your porch, your roof...okay, maybe not your roof...

Cydney and Hannah Raine...

Sometimes as "Junker" you see something and you think "I must have that...no matter what those will come to my store...." Enter these stations of the cross I purchased from a dealer in Buckhead....

I know what you are thinking..."she must be Catholic" but no, I'm just a good ol Baptist girl with a big wide "Catholic streak" in me....

There are 11 of them....

They are plaster....Late 1800s, from Northern Italy, Verona Area....

$550.00 for the set of 11....
I've got a pair of these lovelies.....$99.00 each....

I love it when we find old mirrors that are already "shabby chic" without us doing a thing to them...like this one!

And this one, Bebe painted with chalk paint...it's yum....

We've got some really cute frames in right now...this one is made from metal...

Oh, excuse me my phone is ringing...."Hello....uh huh, uh huh, uh huh...okay I'll tell them...."

See you soon! Lizzie
